Lately I have been inspired to do some sewing for a great cause. Early buds, a nonprofit organisation, supported by Rotorua Elim Church. Their aim is to support parents of premature babies who spend time in NICU or SCBU. They distribute free “prem packs” around the country gorgeous products which are donated by many businesses around New Zealand.
They are always looking for sponsers of money or products. If you would love to help then just click this link. http://www.earlybuds.org.nz/want-to-help.html
This is how I have been helping…I dont have the spare money but I do have heaps of spare fabric pieces that are too small to do much with….. except make cute little gowns.
There are two patterns that I have tried. and I think I like the second on best as it is easier to get on and off and would seem to fit better as it wraps around the baby.
This is the first pattern and you can find the pattern and instructions here
These ones snap at the shoulders and the back, and can be reversible.
