{kids clothes week} Day 5

Pattern: once again drafted and designed by me (I’m seeing a pattern (haha, punny) here)
Fabric used: Cotton, a mixture of homespun and some light cotton I was given in a bag.
Size: 9-12m
My day 5 sewing is a little sundress for Portia, its been really hot these last few days and a girl can never have too many dresses!!!
I started out with a little bodice that I have been working on for the last few weeks, and measured out the length for the tiers.  I didn’t want it too poofy so I made the 1st tier x1.3 of the bodice, and the 2nd tier was x1.3 of the 1st tier.  Following?
I love the exposed zip in this dress, which gives it a really cute little detail, and makes it super easy to get on.
The sweet little ties make it very adjustable and form cute bows at the shoulders.  They are made using homemade bias binding.

Portia loved wearing it and took off outside to go and jup (jump) on the tramp.
