I sewed a lot when I was younger but haven’t sewn for a long time. I have just begun sewing again and I managed this pattern easily. I have made two vests for 2 of my grandchildren, the first following the pattern exactly, the second I added a pocket to the front and changed the hood to a collar. I’m very pleased with my attempts. This is a fabulous pattern. So easy, quick to make. I made mine from polar fleece with a cotton lining, & four shell buttons. I LOVE the longer back…little ones are always bending over to pick up some new treasue. I’m sure I’ll be making more as the grandchildren get older & taller! Thank you for the time you put into free patterns. I appreciate it very much!
